Description

The VSA™-2215 hardware module attaches firmly to Palm® Treo™ 650, 700p, or 755 smartphone to form compact, extremely portable instrument. The Palm Treo supplies the computing power, 60 MB of data storage, and mobile telephone, email, and text-message capability, while the Datastick® VSA hardware module supplies the sensor power and interface. SD (Secure Digital) memory cards — up to 2 GB each — provide virtually unlimited auxiliary storage.

The VSA hardware modules each have a standard BNC connector and a very low-noise input that accommodates and powers almost any ICP®-type piezoelectric accelerometer or velocity sensor.

Power

The VSA modules have internal rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and advanced power management capabilities that typically stretch the VSA-2215 to four hours between recharges on an average duty cycle (you can recharge on your lunch break) and the VSA-2215 can go a full shift or longer.

An optional 4800 mA/h rechargeable external battery pack is available if you need more power, and it gives you the added benefit of powering or recharging BOTH the VSA module and the Palm Treo smartphone.
