Description

The VSA™-1225 / VSA-1226 / VSA-1227 hardware modules attach firmly to HP iPAQ hx2400-series and hx2700-series handheld computers to form compact, extremely portable instruments. The iPAQ supplies the computing power and 128 MB of data storage, while the Datastick® VSA hardware module supplies the sensor power and interface. SD (Secure Digital) memory cards — up to 2 GB each — provide virtually unlimited auxiliary storage.

The VSA hardware modules each have a standard BNC connector and a very low-noise input that accommodates and powers almost any ICP®-type piezoelectric accelerometer or ICP-type velocity sensor.

Power

The VSA modules have internal rechargeable Li-ion batteries and advanced power management capabilities that typically stretch the VSA-1225, VSA-1226, and VSA-1227 to go a full shift or longer.

An optional 3000 mA/h rechargeable external battery pack is available if you need more power, and it gives you the added benefit of powering or recharging BOTH the VSA module and the iPAQ handheld computer.

Key Features

  • Uses and powers standard ICP-type piezoelectric accelerometers
  • Attaches to high-performance HP iPAQ hx 2400-series and hx 2700-series handheld computers
  • Extremely low noise floor
  • Self-powered or optional external power
  • Weighs 10.5 oz with HP iPAQ hx 2400-series or hx 2700-series handheld computer
