DAART is the next best thing to taking the machine apart to see how it's operating. DAART takes vibration apart so you can see what's going on easily and quickly.

DAART (Datastick Advanced Analysis and Reporting Toolkit) includes all of the functions and features of Datastick Reporting System for VSA and then adds an impressive array of powerful, advanced tools for vibration analysts.

  • Bearing database integration: import bearing information from any bearing database that can be presented as an Excel file, comma- or tab-delimited file, or plain-text file
  • Exclusive PulseDomain™ demodulation technology goes beyond normal demodulation to optimize the signal to noise ratio to make small impact peaks more visible and reduce random noise so you can spot bearing faults early

PulseDomain Demodulation. This technology used proprietary math to optimize the signal to noise ration in demodulation to show a clearer distinction between peaks and noise than has been achieved before.

Sharpener. DAART’s exclusive Sharpener peak-clarification technology shows you accurate frequency-domain information in any FFT or PulseDomain graph. Conventional FFT windowing, such as Hanning, Rectangular, or Flattop, make compromises in frequency or amplitude or both as part of their action. Sharpening is not the same as windowing. It is a completely new way of showing any frequency-domain and demodulation information with little or no significant compromise of frequency or amplitude accuracy.

Two NEW Vibration Energy Metrics. For years, analysts have used Crest Factor—peak amplitude of a waveform divided by the RMS value—to get a rough idea of how much impacting is occurring in a waveform.

However, Crest Factor is often unreliable because it can be significantly swayed by the other factors such as the overall dynamic vibration level, so it does not optimally reflect the total amount of damaging peak impact energy. Datastick’s DAART gives you two new metrics that provide a more reliable way of finding trouble areas quickly, easily, and reliably. Both new metrics focus on the high-frequency energy where damaging impact forces occur.

  • Peaking shows excessive energy contained in high-frequency peaks. It is expressed in g's, and can be interpreted as a portion of the overall vibration energy.
  • Impact Factor concentrates on periodic bursts of energy. It is expressed numerically on a scale of 0 to 4.

Datastick's Sharpener provides frequency and amplitude accuracy that FFT windowing can't come close to. If accurately measuring harmonics is important to you, you need Sharpener.   Datastick's PulseDomain demodulation makes impulse peaks stand out more accurately. DAART allows you to convert waveform graphs back and forth between acceleration. velocity, and displacement. This acceleration graph . . .   . . . can be converted to this velocity graph and then this velocity graph can be reconverted to acceleration without affecting the accuracy of the waveform.

This PulseDomain demodulation graph has bearing frequencies labeled from an imported bearing database.   This is a cepstrum graph made from the same data that was used for the demodulation to the left.
